What Type of Writer Should You Be?
I first found this at Frank Wilson's Books Inq.,
which led me to Amy Nelson-Mile's Books, Words, and Writing,
which led me to Blogthings: Cool Things to Put In Your Blog
Here's my results:
You Should Be A Poet |
You craft words well, in creative and unexpected ways. And you have a great talent for evoking beautiful imagery... Or describing the most intense heartbreak ever. You're already naturally a poet, even if you've never written a poem. |
After poking around at Blogthings, I took another quiz, called "What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?"
Here's my results:
Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence |
You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well. An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly. You are also good at remembering information and convicing someone of your point of view. A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary. You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator. |
Then I found another test at Blogthings called "What's Your Hidden Talent."
Here's my results:
Your Hidden Talent |
You have the power to persuade and influence others. You're the type of person who can turn a whole room around. The potential for great leadership is there, as long as you don't abuse it. Always remember, you have a lot more power over people than you might think! |
Here's another called, "What Language Should You Learn?"
You Should Learn French |
C'est super! You appreciate the finer things in life... wine, art, cheese, love affairs. You are definitely a Parisian at heart. You just need your tongue to catch up... |
Then "Are You Right or Left Brained?"
Here are my results:
You Are 40% Left Brained, 60% Right Brained |
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning. Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet. The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports. |
And finally: Who Were You In a Past Life?
Here's who I was:
In a Past Life... |
You Were: A Forlorn Assassin. Where You Lived: Central Africa. How You Died: Typhoid fever. |

Didn't you once tell me you took some French in school. And yet... with that New England twang... I dunno. It would be kind of cute, though, and the French girls LOVE an English accent. Go for it!
Hi Peter,
Yes, I studied French in high school, and did fairly well. But, there are so many bilingual people around here that in college, to maintain a GPA over 3.9, my strategy was to take a semester of Japanese in order to stay away from another hard-earned B+. So I switched to put the bell curve into my favor--and it worked.
I wonder what the second- and third-generation French Canadians around here sound like to those at home.
Thanks for stropping in.
Bud
