Walcott is just so noticable. My first thought was to wonder if his tie was worth a post.
I saw Lakshmi, and thought how the spouse was the wild card in the question of who's who?
My hunch would be that Rushdie is possibly more famous as a household word, but that Walcott may be somewhere in the top recognizable people in the world.
I've seen Rushdie, but didn't recognize him. Bad photo. Charming, charasmatic speaker -- so warmly intelligent, I didn't notice his bald spot. No comments re the modelesque wife with her own credentials. I thought maybe I had a future as a marriage breaker. Forget it. Back to my blog and so much for the lives of the rich and famous. Like I needed this?
